2006/11/20 Happy Thanksgiving 2006
We know we would not have made it without their help. We owe them our lives. Let us give back to the Native Americans that which the white settlers stole from them and make amends to them and say our mea cupeas as well. Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to all. Karissa 2006/11/15 A Heart Be Broken and Keep on beating just the same
Parents who lost their children to the state have broken hearts, broken spirits, and they are not even a live we are walking zombies. We have broken heart and our hearts have wholes in them that can't be repaired or mended. A part of us has been taking away and we wonder how our children will be treated by foster care givers or adopters. What lies will the state tell our children and what lies with our children's adopters and foster care givers tell our children about us. Our children will be turned against us unless we can get to them once they turn 18 years old. Our hearts are broken and State Judges, CPS wreckers, Guardian Ad Litems, and County DA and our family is responsible for breaking our hearts. A heart can be broken but keep on beating just the same. It may beat but the beat is not the same.
2006/5/31 Update on My First to Be Published BookWhat have I been up too lately? First of all, I have been working diligently on my Historical Romance Je Volonté Attendre Pour Vous. I will have to write some of this in French to make more sense. I need to buy a French dictionary I can use with everything.
My Historical Romance is in English/French.
I have been cleaning up some today because tomorrow is pay day, I have to take my ass out pay bills for the next couple of days.
The weekend will be busy. Frank and I am leaving for McDonough Georgia on Monday Afternoon. We are staying in McDonough for a week. We will be back June 12.
We are going to go see the Henry Players musical play The Secret Garden.
I am planning to publish my Historical Romance Je Volonté Attendre Pour Vous over on one of my websites. I am sure that the publisher will not allow me to print all the pictures so at least on my website you will be able to see all the illustrations that go with my historical romance.
My next project for 2007 is to work on a Star Trek Romance Novel. If I am lucky I will get that published before the end of 2007.
Anyway that is my newest news.
~Karissa~
When My Book is published I will tell everyone how to buy a copy if they are interested. It will be available through http://amazon.com , http://waldenbooks.com, http://barnesandnobles.com, or directly through the publisher who I will let you when it is printed.

Lucie 2005/6/28 Black on White Crime: A National Outrage
THE RACE WAR OF BLACK
AGAINST WHITE
Paul Sheehan From the Sydney Morning Herald, May 20, 1995 The longest war America has ever fought is the Dirty War, and it is not over. It has lasted 30 years so far and claimed more than 25 million victims. It has cost almost as many lives as the Vietnam War. It determined the result of last year's congressional election. Yet the American news media do not want to talk about the Dirty War, which remains between the lines and unreported. In fact, to even suggest that the war exists is to be discredited. So let's start suggesting, immediately. No matter how crime figures are massaged by those who want to acknowledge or dispute the existence of a Dirty War, there is nothing ambiguous about what the official statistics portray: for the past 30 years a large segment of black America has waged a war of violent retribution against white America. And the problem is getting worse, not better. In the past 20 years, violent crime has increased more than four times faster then the population! . Young blacks (under 18) are more violent than previous generations and are 12 times more likely to be arrested for murder than young whites. Nearly all the following figures, which speak for themselves, have not been reported in America: According to the latest US Department of Justice survey of crime victims, more than 6.6 million violent crimes (murder, rape, assault and robbery) are committed in the US each year, of which about 20 per cent, or 1.3 million, are inter-racial crimes. Most victims of race crime - about 90 per cent - are white, according to the survey "Highlights from 20 Years of Surveying Crime Victims," published in 1993. Almost 1 million white Americans were murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by black Americans in 1992, compared with about 132,000 blacks who were murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by whites, according to the same survey. Blacks thus committed 7.5 times more violent inter-racial crimes than whites even though the black population is only one-seventh the size of the white population. When these figures are adjusted on a per capita basis, they reveal an extraordinary disparity: blacks are committing more than 50 times the number of violent crimes of whites. According to the latest annual report on murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most inter-racial murders involve black assailants and white victims, with blacks murdering whites at 18 times the rate that whites murder blacks. These breathtaking disparities began to emerge in the mid-1960s, when there was a sharp increase in black crime against whites, an upsurge which, not coincidentally, corresponds exactly with the beginning the modern civil rights movement. Over time, the cumulative effect has been staggering. Justice Department and FBI statistics indicate that between 1964 and 1994 more than 25 mil! lion vio lent inter-racial crimes were committed, overwhelmingly involving black offenders and white victims, and more than 45,000 people were killed in inter-racial murders. By comparison 58,000 Americans died in Vietnam, and 34,000 were killed in the Korean war. When non-violent crimes (burglary, larceny, car theft and personal theft) are included, the cumulative totals become prodigious. The Bureau of Justice Statistics says 27 million non-violent crimes were committed in the US in 1992, and the survey found that 31 per cent of the robberies involved black offenders and white victims (while only 2 per cent in the reverse). When all the crime figures are calculated, it appears that black Americans have commited at least 170 million crimes against white Americans in the past 30 years. It is the great defining disaster of American life and American ideals since World War II. All these are facts, yet by simply writing this story, by assembling the facts in this way, I would be deemed a racist by the American news media. It prefers to maintain a paternalistic double-standard in its coverage of black America, a lower standard. Lucie Elizabeth Ann A Very Hot Day In ChicagoIt is one of those very hot, humid, and muggy days in Chicago. The last
time I posted I talked about Honey and I going to Brookfield Zoo. We did go, but
Honey was a whinny hinny and all he did was complain in the course of the
day. While we were walking down the street to Brookfield Zoo. He started
to become a whinny-hinny and I stopped him right in his tracks. I told him
straight up and straight out not to ruin my day. He did not say
much.
That Sunday, he called and he called me a "bitch" and that is the last time
we talked over the phone. He has apologized since then but Honey's heart
is made out of dry ice.
The heart he has in his body is unthawable. It is no use to thaw him
out.
Honey needs an attitude adjustment and that means either he needs some
woman to put him in his place or he just doesn’t need a girlfriend. He
thinks of his ex wife as nothing but a sex object. Something for him to
get his "rocks" off. When she left him he referred her to as his
"pussy".
What is with men? Why can't they control their sexual needs. Why can not
they control themselves and stop thinking of women as just sex toys, sex
objects, and sex machines.
Not to mention baby makers.
The only way Honey and I talk now is over MSN IM. It is the safest
way. I don't call him and he does n't call me. It has not effected
me one little bit.
Honey has a lot of growing up to do. He is a little boy locked into a 44
year old man's body.
He has a very male chauvist pig attitude about women in general.
It is sad to see Honey be that way. I just don't have time to deal with it
anymore.
He will die a lonely old man. He will live to be lonely young
man.
Nothing anyone can do about it.

Southern Baptists in ‘doldrums,’

evangelistic mandate, Welch warns Southern Baptist Convention
President Bobby Welch said a resolution taking on immorality in the public
schools was likely to make it to the floor at next week’s annual

The Southern Baptist Convention, the nation’s biggest Protestant denomination and the largest gathering of evangelical Christians in the world, is in the “doldrums” and faces a challenge to determine whether it is on the right path, its leader said Thursday. The convention’s president, the Rev. Bobby Welch of First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Fla., also said that a resolution decrying immorality in American public schools was likely to be debated at next week’s annual gathering in Nashville, Tenn., but that it would be wrong for Southern Baptists to withdraw their children from public classrooms.
“If our convention will extend itself out toward the people — wherever they are — and emphasize the main thing, which is the spiritual good of them and their families and the good of the people around them, then the convention will rally to itself for the greater good,” he said. But Welch said that was not a given. He noted that the annual number of baptisms in the convention had been largely unchanged for decades — a worrisome sign because baptism, he said, was “the first giant step in discipleship, a relationship with the Lord and Christ.” “If this convention does not have a significant uplift, then it has every reason to pause and ask itself, ‘Do we have deeper problems than we realize?’” said Welch, who has made a renewal of evangelistic outreach the cornerstone of his administration. He was elected last year partly on a pledge to seek 1 million new baptisms, even though the convention has never baptized even half that many people in a year. “We must break out of these doldrums,” he said.

Don’t abandon public schools, Baptists
urged “We are not suffering today from bad people doing bad things,” he said. “We are suffering because of good people doing good things at the exclusion of the main thing ... getting outside of the walls of the church and reconnecting in New Testament Jesus terms with the people of the world and meeting them at the point of their greatest need. That’s the greatest cry.” Welch said the need to reach out to people was why messengers at next week’s convention should not adopt any resolution that called on Southern Baptist families to pull their children from the public schools.

A resolution that specifically called for a mass withdrawal from public school classrooms failed last year when it was not accepted by the convention’s resolutions committee. Welch said that the committee was considering two similar resolutions Thursday and that at least one was likely to make it to the floor next week, although it probably would not explicitly call for an organized withdrawal. Counting more than 16.3 million members, the Southern Baptist Convention could have a significant impact on school enrollment were it to organize an effective boycott, especially in already struggling rural schools in the South and the Midwest, where its congregations are concentrated. That, Welch said, would be counterproductive. “The convention will be united on the fact that our school system is in terrible disrepair and in a critical and urgent need for help,” he said. “But what we are trying to come to grips with is how do we address that. And I do not believe that most Southern Baptists believe that just a wholesale, universal call for a withdrawing of students from public schools is the best answer.” Beyond the reality that many families did not have the resources to send their children to private schools, Welch said, Southern Baptists are called to be “change agents in a world and a society that many times is totally ungodly.” “Well, if that’s true, how far can you keep backing up from the fight and still effect change?” he asked. The convention begins this weekend at the Gaylord Center in downtown Nashville and runs through Wednesday. President Bush is expected to address the convention by live video Tuesday night. 2005/6/14 Today Is My 50th Birthday This is my new birthday picture I toook with my webcam. I

I had to take it to the shop and they restored it to factory new and I had my new memory put in so it is running great now. I did not have my computer for nearly a week. It had a lot of things it had to be done to it. It crashed and of course, Dell believes trouble shooting over the phone rather than sending a technican out to find out what is wrong with your computer. If you are disabled and your computer crashes. Just don't expect Dell or any other Home PC company accept IBM to come out and service computer at home. The movie is "For Hope" it is based on comedian Bob Saget's sister, Gay, who died of the dieases known as scleroderma which in Greek means " hardening of the skin". This movie made me cry because it was so sad and Bob Saget's parents had already lost one daughter, Andrea, years before. This movie takes through what Gay had to go through just to get a proper medical diagnosis and the fact that she had the worse from of scleroderma which effects all parts of the body. This reminds me of an episode of The Golden Girls, and Bea Arthur has to go through many specialists just to find out she is diagnosed with Chronic Fatique Syndrome. All the doctors diagnosed Gay Saget with different diagnoses until she went to California from Philly, and she goes to see a doctor who knows about this illness. "For Hope" is a very sad movie but it makes us want to find out more about certain diseases so we can better learn about them and hopefully we will be able to find a cure for such terrible diseases. My doctor's appointment went well. I paid some of my bills today. So everyone have a good evening. Lucie Elizabeth Ann Category: Reflections For Tuesday, May 3, 2005It's Tuesday, May 3, 2005 and I have an appointment with my psychiatrist at 3:15 PM and I am still very much under the weather with this virus I have come down with. The 1983 Movie "The Big Chill" is on Love Channel W, before that a movie on Princess Grace was on. It is sad that Rainer III passed away and was buried two weeks ago. His only son, Albert is now ruler of Monaco. I did see a picture of Princess Caroline's children, Andre is the oldest, next to Pierre and Alice. The children by Princess Caroline's late second husband who was killed in a boating accident. Princess Stephaine's children were not there. Albert is not married. The Government of Monaco changed their succession policy whereas Princess Caroline can ascend to the throne if Albert dies unmarried and without children to succeed him. It's a some what cloudy day here in Chicago. Look's like the sun is trying to come out. I have to pay bills before I go to my psychiatrist's appointment. I have placed the prayer for St. Dymphna above for everyone who suffers from any kind of psychiatric, mental or emotional problems above. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. Ann 2005/5/1 Category: Health and Wellness: Anorexia NervosaAnorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder identified by an "obsession" for thinness, generally sought through self-starvation. Characteristic features include drastic weight loss resulting from dieting and/or intense exercise, poor body image, a drive for thinness and an accompanying fear of weight gain.
Over time, those with anorexia nervosa develop all the symptoms of starvation. As their bodies conserve resources, monthly menstrual periods stop. With the stop of menstrual periods the body also starts to lose calcium from the bones. If anorexia nervosa becomes severe, its victims will develop osteoporosis (thinning of the bones), an irregular heartbeat and heart failure. Breathing, pulse and blood pressure rates fall. Victims' hair and nails become brittle, their skin dries, yellows and they may develop a layer of soft hair called "lanugo." Without adequate amounts of water, the victims will suffer from constipation. As their bodies lose fat, their internal temperature falls, making them less tolerant of cold weather. Mild anemia and swollen joints often develop and muscles waste away.
Some medical researchers have developed two categories for anorexia nervosa. The first, called the "restrictor" group, are those who refuse to eat food. The second, called the "bulimic" group, attempt to restrict their food intake, but suffer from bouts of depression and purging cycles that are part of bulimia nervosa. Given their already weakened and emaciated condition, an episode of purging could prove fatal to people in this group. Abuse of drugs that cause vomiting, strong laxatives that cause bowel movements or diuretics to induce urination can also increase the risk of Cardiac arrest. Marked by excessive dieting and obsessive weight inhibitions, Anorexia Nervosa is characterized by severe and persistent weight loss, a distorted body image and intense fear of becoming fat. It typically starts in the teenage years but in recent years has been seen in pre-pubertal teens who refuse to maintain a healthy body size. Clinicians estimate a loss of 15% of normal weight as part of the diagnostic criteria. Denial of the seriousness of the disorder is a primary barrier to treatment. Diagnostic criteria also includes cessation of the menstrual cycle

It's
Sunday, May 1, 2005 at 3:28 PM CDT and I am just sitting around
updating my many online diaries and journals.
I have been under the weather here
lately. I have come down with a cold that is turning into either an upper
respiratory infection, bronchitis, or pueumonia. This is something I
hope it does not become.
We were unable to go to Sunday Mass
this day. I was not feeling up to it and my cough is causing me some
discomfort when I do cough. I had my usual breakfast.
I noticed that someone wrote about
the dangers of eatting disorders which under the DSM IV handbook they fall
under the psychiatric category of OCD's. There are two kinds of
eating disorders : Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. Both are
serious and life threatening by the way.
There are many kinds of obsessive
complusive disorders and the eatting disorders are just two of them.
One is about self starvation and the other is inducing vomiting to make
you lose weight.
Karen Carpenter had anorexia
nervosa. She starved herself and was obsessed with exercise and only drank
water. She used all kinds of laxatives to induce bowel
movements, tincture of IPEC, which helps to induce vomiting.
What happened was after all the years of abuse it took a toll on her heart
and at the age of 32, one month short of 33 rd birthday, She suffered a
fatal cardiac arrrest and they would not able to revive her.
Terri Schiavo had bulimia
nervosa. She dieted in excess and such dieting caused her body to
have a postassium deficiency and that is what caused her to go into
cardiac arrest.
Karen Carpenter had a song I
believe she wrote while she dieting in excess and trying to achieve that
look.
The Song is Love Me For What I
AM.
Please, Please, don't starve
yourself and all. Don't diet to excess and don't induce vomiting.
Get the help you need to
overcome this psychiatric
disorder. Don't concentrate so much on outward
appearance.
Life is far to
precious.
So take care everyone,
Have a nice week.

Ann In Thanksgiving For The Gift Of A New Holy FatherIn Thanksgiving for the Gift of Our New Holy Father
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Thank you Lord, for the gift of our new Holy Father! Thank You for this tremendous blessing. Please, Lord, bless Pope Benedict. Bestow on him, this very day, all the gifts needed - Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Fear of the Lord, and Piety. Thank You, Lord. Please protect Pope Benedict, strengthen him, inspire him. Help him Lord! Help him to lead your people and the world to You. Amen. A Prayer for the Church O Holy Spirit, Creator, mercifully assist Thy Catholic Church, and by Thy heavenly power strengthen and establish her against the assaults of all her enemies. By Thy love and grace renew the spirit of Thy servants whom Thou hast anointed, that in Thee they may glorify the Father and His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (From the Raccolta) 2005/4/20 We have A PopeApril 19, 2005, The Bells of St. Peters Bascilia rang out loudly and the smoke from the chimmey poured out white to ring in Our New Holy Father, Benedict the XVI, the former Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger of Germany. It was a decision I am sure the Conclave of Cardinals had to wrestle with and the Holy Spirit moved them to elect a Cardinal that is experienced. Some Christian Catholics may not like him, however, it is the Lord himself and the Holy Spirit who appointed him to the position with the help of The Conclave of Cardinals. We must give the New Holy Father, Benedict XVI, a chance and trust that he will do what is in the best interest of The Holy Mother Church and her 1.1.5 billion members. Let us rejoice that we have a new Holy Father, but not let us forget our late Holy Father, The Blessed Pope John Paul II. Well, rejoice oh Christian-Catholics. Take care now, Marylandbaby |
